With the development of 3M™ Vitrified CBN Grinding Wheel 1PVZ we have succeeded to enable absolute high-performance applications with minimum bond. Avoid chatter marks, reduce thermal stress and reduce cost per piece with 3M™ Vitrified Wheels and Tools. Our peripheral grinding wheels feature continuous rims and segmented design of up to 750 mm in diameter ensuring no chatter marks or gluing gaps on your grinding surface. Their porous nature means these tools have a high loading capacity of cooling medium, which in turn reduces thermal stress on the work piece. The vitrified bond further supports the high thermal performance of the cubic boron nitride abrasive offering durability and stability throughout the work process. With improved profiling capability a large range of workpiece profiles are possible. The specific stock removal rate of up to 100 mm³/mm x s on cast iron ensures short cycle times, which combined with the G-ratio delivering low wheel wear increases through put and reduces cost per piece.
